Biography:

My name is Cullan, and I am an experienced cloud engineer passionate about AWS and other emerging technologies. I founded Cullan Carey Consulting, LLC, to pursue my career as an independent consultant in the cloud space. As my company's owner and sole employee, I bring knowledge and expertise to every project I undertake.



Throughout my career, I have built, analyzed, automated, and supported AWS cloud environments with a proven track record of success. I am always expanding my knowledge through work and personal projects, ensuring I stay ahead of the curve in this rapidly evolving industry.



In previous consulting roles, I have developed expertise in a wide range of areas related to cloud engineering. For example, I have created CI/CD deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions for CDK applications, streamlining the deployment process and ensuring fast and reliable application delivery. Additionally, I have designed and implemented centralized deployment models utilizing CloudFormation StackSets, Python CDK, and GitHub Actions, enabling efficient and scalable infrastructure deployment.



I am also experienced in developing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) modules using Terraform to simplify the provisioning and managing of AWS resources. Furthermore, I have integrated DNS configurations across various website hosting platforms and Route53, ensuring a seamless user experience.



In terms of security, I have developed automated monitoring systems using SecurityHub, GuardDuty, and Inspector, ensuring that all aspects of the infrastructure are secure and compliant with relevant regulations. Moreover, I have performed cost analyses on AWS environments and recommended optimizing costs, maximizing efficiency, and minimizing expenses.
